Macca’s Hofner 500/1 violin bass, second most valuable guitar off all time
Posted by under Uncategorized
Macca’s Hofner 500/1 violin bass was rated as the 2nd most valuable guitar of all time by Guitar magazine…
It was valued at 3.5 Million US dollars! It beat out Jimmy Page’s ‘58 Les Paul Gold Top (one of THE most collectible models of guitars in the world), Page’s Gibson ES-1275 “SG” double neck, David Gilmour’s Stratocaster with Serial #0001, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Strat, Clapton’s “Blackie” Strat, and Eddie Van Halen’s “Frankenstein.” The only guitar they estimated to be worth more was Jimi Hendrix’s 1968 Woodstock Stratocaster at 5 Million US dollars. The reason they stated for the Hofner’s high value? “It’s a freakin’ Beatle bass!”
Macca should be proud…The Hofner is a TRUE icon of rock-n-roll all because of him! Congratulations Sir Paul!
