LOVE has been certified as the Beatles’ THIRTY-NINTH US Platinum album! LOVE remains at #8 on the charts, in spite of a second weeks’ gain in sales – 178,000, up from last weeks’ 152,000 – for a SoundScan total of 748,000. Since many of those copies are the CD/DVD 2-disc set, and since the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) counts the number of discs in an album, hence the Platinum certification for 1,000,000 copies – in just 1 month!
