LOVE has been certified as the Beatles’ THIRTY-NINTH US Platinum album! LOVE remains at #8 on the charts, in spite of a second weeks’ gain in sales - 178,000, up from last weeks’ 152,000 - for a SoundScan total of 748,000. Since many of those copies are the CD/DVD 2-disc set, and since the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) counts the number of discs in an album, hence the Platinum certification for 1,000,000 copies - in just 1 month!

Again, last weeks’ #1 album by Ciara drops below the Fabs in it’s 2nd week (#11), just as did Incubus (#47 in it’s 3rd week), and Jay Z (#32 in his 4th week). They all held the #1 spot over the Beatles for only 1 week, then fell below LOVE in their 2nd week and continue to drop, while the Beatles remain strong.

LOVE holds the #1 spot on the European chart for the 4th week in a row. It’s #1 in Greece, rises from #7 to #5 in France, #10 to #9 in Spain; and holds at #6 in the UK where it’s 4-week sales total is 466,000 according to the Official UK Charts Company.

In the US Top Classical Chart, Paul’s ECCE COR MEUM logs it’s 3rd month in the top ten, holding onto the #7 position in it’s 12 week.
