Worth up to £10 million…

Sir Paul McCartney has stepped up his divorce battle with Heather Mills by removing £10 million of art from her home.

Mills only realised that the paintings had gone when she returned home and set a burglar alarm off which had had the code changed.

Police were called to the house in Peasmarsh but confirmed that no burglary or criminal offence had taken place according to the Sun.

Apparently McCartney has said that he was going to remove the paintings which included Picassos and Renoirs.

A spokesman for the former Beatle declined to comment on the incident.
