Paul McCartney’s estranged wife Heather Mills has been dropped as being a spokesperson by the animal rights group PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals). Britain’s The Telegraph reported that Mills’ departure was due to the urging of Macca’s daughter Mary McCartney, who said that she would only work as a photographer on the PETA’s latest campaign if her step-mother Heather — who is only 19 months older — was forced out of the organization.

His childhood home in England is being turned into the Museum Of Liverpool.

Former Beatle Ringo Starr’s childhood home in Liverpool, England is being carefully taken apart brick-by-brick so it can be rebuilt into a new museum. The house the drummer grew up in on 9 Madryn Street is one of 427 properties to be demolished in the city’s Toxteth district. But it will be reconstructed into the Museum Of Liverpool, set to open in 2010. Local government official Flo Clucas says, “It will have the same  ricks and much of the original materials.”
The nearby childhood homes of Beatles John Lennon and Paul McCartney have been preserved and are visited by thousands of Fab Four fans each year.
