If You Give A Beatle a Pencil

‘All My Loving’. ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’. ‘P.S., I Love You’. If there’s one thing we know about John Lennon, it’s that he certainly didn’t have to hide his love away. In fact, he flaunted it, just like he flaunted his naked heinie on the cover of Rolling Stone. Lennon was genius in many ways lyricist, songwriter, peace activist, and doodler. He even went to art school in Liverpool for three years. Today, more than 100 of his whimsical pieces — lithographs, prints, and originals — are on display at the three-day-only exhibit “All You Need is Love: The Artwork of John Lennon” at Old School Square (51 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach). Some pieces are for sale, and $2 donation for admission is requested to benefit children’s art programs at the center. You’ll be happy to know the show was given the A-OK by Yoko. Call 561-243-7922 ext. 31, or visit www.oldschool.org.
