A MAN who devoted his lifetime to the Beatles and Merseybeat history has become the first inductee in the Merseybeat Hall of Fame.

Sam Leach has a rich history, from his early promotions at New Brighton’s Tower Ballroom, his legendary club promotions at the Casanova, the Iron Door and the Peppermint Lounge, to his John Lennon memorial concert at St George’s Plateau, Liverpool. He continues to tour the world lecturing on the Beatles.

Johnny Hutchinson (the Big Three) was on hand to present the award in New Brighton.
