Brazil: Free Macca DVD with credit card

The Diners Credit Card is giving away copies of “Paul McCartney`s Live at the Cavern Club” dvd for those who spend more than R$700,00 reais (the brazilian currency is called “real”), which is approximately 285,00 euros, between March 1 and 31. Through the mail, they sent out a beautiful flyer inside a large envelope that is a painting of the Cavern Club stage wall. There is also a photo of Paul taken at the Cavern Club during the concert in 1999.

Kauai Country Inn houses a Beatles Museum open only to guests of the inn.

It is run by Mike Hough and his wife, Martina, who veered out of fast-lane advertising careers and moved to a 2-acre retreat in rural Wailua.

Orillia Beatles Celebration

Plans were announced today for Ontario’s
first ever community-based Beatles festival to be held in the City of Orillia.
Known as the “Orillia Beatles Celebration”, the three-day event on
September 21, 22 and 23, 2007 is sponsored and managed by the Orillia Festival
Committee, a volunteer group representing a cross-section of community
leaders, businesses, educators, students, musicians, artists and Beatles fans.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first meeting of John Lennon and
Paul McCartney in 1957, highlights include celebrity Allan Williams, the first
booking agent of the Beatles; performances by Toronto’s FabFour; tribute
performances across the City; museum-quality Beatles exhibits; educational
presentations; a vendor’s marketplace; and a street festival.
