The first single from the McCartney album is “Ever Present Past.” It was released digitally to radio stations on Friday.

There is a video clip on YouTube here. You can hear the song here (click on the tape). Here’s a comment from Mike Ray of KEGK-FM on hearing it, with which we agree:

I received my promo copy of the single Friday . MAJOR ear-worms in this song. Very modern yet - very Macca. I could see a dance remix issued shortly. There are at least two or three “hooks” to this song. VERY enjoyable! And the track listing on Steve Hoffman’s bulletin board MUST BE authentic! The reviewer of the album nailed this song:

>>>2. “My Everpresent Past” (title?) - Musically quirky (McCartney II fans will love this one), hooky and clever with great lyrics, addictive robotic rhythm, nifty distorted guitar riffs and terrific double-tracked vocals. Fully realized top-drawer Macca Pop in every respect. Opening line: “I’ve got too much on my plate - I’ve got no time to be a decent lover”. A+
