London, June 25: Beatles legend John Lennon’s art teacher cannot stop cursing herself for throwing away the late musician’s drawing while teaching him in the late fifties, for they would have fetched her a fortune.

However, Geraldine Brock, who taught drawing at Liverpool Arts College, said that Lennon’s drawings were average.

“I don’t even want to consider how much those drawings would have been worth. They would have made me a lot of money,” Daily Express quoted her, as saying.

“They were ok but unfinished. I used to bin them,” she added.

Brook, 69, who lives in Surrey now, said that Lennon was a nice lad, but used to regularly miss classes to practise music with his friend Paul McCartney.

“John was a nice enough lad. But he always found excuses to go early and it often seemed to be when there was a sound of a guitar coming from the Institute. Later I realised he’d been going off to play with Paul,” he added.
