Beatle Week is by far the busiest and the best time to visit Liverpool. Fans from all over the world flock into the city to celebrate the music of The Beatles. There is live entertainment during every waking hour over a seven day period together with a convention, art exhibitions, festivals, concerts, flea markets, guest appearances, interviews, autograph sessions, tours, gigs, an auction and much much more. Over two hundred bands will participate in this, the biggest Beatle celebration in the world. This event has been staged for over twenty years and has won many prestigious awards. Organised by Cavern City Tours it is an event not to be missed by Beatle fans and general music fans alike. WEDNESDAY 22 AUGUST
What is Beatle Week? It’s very hard to describe unless you have actually experienced it, but in a nut shell it is the biggest celebration of the music of The Beatles anywhere in the world, and fittingly it is hosted in the City where it all began – LIVERPOOL. Seven days and nights of madness and mayhem during EVERY waking hour. Organised by Cavern City Tours (Regional Tour Operator of the Year on six occasions), it features over two hundred bands from twenty countries and attended by fans from over forty countries. Truly an International Festival combining live music, exhibitions, guests, a convention, flea market, video shows, tours, etc., etc. If you are a Beatle fan then this is for you. If you are a general music fan then this is also for you, as the weekend features bands covering other icons, such as Elvis, The Who, The Stones, Queen etc. It also highlights newer, more contemporary music throughout the Mathew Street Festival area on the Monday. The whole weekend kicks off in style at the Cavern Pub on Wednesday and who better to host it than Merseyside’s very own Lennon’s Magic Elbow, a free gig at The Cavern Pub during the evening!
THURSDAY 23 AUGUST
The music continues throughout the day and night at the Cavern Pub and, of course, on the two stages at the Cavern Club across the road. However, the highlight of the day will be Sir Frankie Crisp from Italy and Nube 9 from Argentina, who will perform a tribute to the Traveling Wilburys which featured George Harrison and Bob Dylan to name but two. This will be the first time that the Beatles Festival has featured a tribute to the Wilburys in a concert and all I can say is that it is about time! The evening at the Cavern Club will, of course, feature another five bands who will all be playing the music of The Beatles: a great start to the weekend.
FRIDAY 24 AUGUST
Friday’s show begins in great style in the Adelphi Ballroom with a celebration of the solo musical career of all four Beatles. Wingspan, from the UK, will pay tribute to the mid-’70s with their very own Rockshow and Cloud 9 from Argentina will perform the whole of George’s “All Things Must Pass” album. We will have an All Starr Band to celebrate Ringo’s career and it will be rounded off by Instant Karma USA who will play their favourite Lennon album “Walls and Bridges”. A great way to remind ourselves what a rich solo catalogue they had which compares favourably with the more lauded and famous Fabs work. The evening show will be at the Academy and will be an official Cavern 50th Anniversary Concert, one of many during the year. Why not stage it at The Cavern then? Quite simply we couldn’t get everybody in, so we are holding this particular gig in what we believe has the best Cavern ambience out of all the larger venues. Of course you will expect Beatles music and Run Devil Run, but we will also have short sets from other Cavern Bands, including The Who, The Rolling Stones and Queen tribute bands; a real musical treat! At the Adelphi at midnight the main ballroom will be turned into a cinema for a private showing of Hard Day’s Night, and Fridays bar will continue the theme of “The Beatles at the Movies” with bands playing sets from “Help!”, “Yellow Submarine”, “Let It Be” and “Magical Mystery Tour”. Of course, the other Adelphi bars will be alive with the sound of Beatle music until the wee small hours. A great beginning to a fab weekend of celebrations.
SATURDAY 25 AUGUST
Saturday morning is auction time, which is organised by The Beatles Shop (0151 236 8066) and is always a huge attraction as fans try to get a bargain. The spiritual home for the auction is LIPA (Paul and George’s old school) and entrance includes a catalogue for the auction. “It was forty years ago today that Sgt Pepper taught the band to play.” It has been well documented that Penny Lane and Strawberry Field were the first two songs penned for what became known as the album Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Later they were identified as singles and were left off the album. So in tribute to the singles and the album, forty years on Cavern City Tours are arranging a Penny Lane Festival. Inclusive of outside stages and events in the area and incorporating bars and restaurants which will feature live Beatles music, the day is sure to be one to remember. Where do you begin? The barber, the fire station, the shelter on the roundabout, St. Barnabas Church where Paul was a choirboy (and best man for his brother Mike), Newcastle Road (John’s first home), Dovedale School (John and George’s primary school, as well as Jimmy Tarbuck’s!), Penny Lane Wine Bar – the list is endless. Access to Dovedale School is exclusive solely to people on a Cavern City Tour and includes return transport from the Adelphi Hotel to and from the area. The area is steeped in Beatles folklore (Brian Epstein’s school and the original lyrics to In My Life), the list is endless. This is their territory, their old stomping ground and we really will be following in the footsteps of The Beatles. The evening show at the Empire is one we are really looking forward to as we have been trying for nigh on 20 years to get America’s premier boots ’n’ suits tribute band “Rain” from California over to Beatleweek and we have finally succeeded. Their multi media stage show is one to behold and will reinforce why the band have long since been recognised as one of the very, very best. Let’s hope it leads to this being an annual affair as I know that once you have seen them there will be a clamour to get them back. Pause for breath? No, there’s no time; it’s back to the Adelphi for a party till the wee small hours. The theme for the bands for this party (in four separate bars) is 800 years of Liverpool’s musical heritage. Apart from a couple of sea shanties, rest assured that it may well indeed concentrate on the last forty-four years and, in particular, on four lads who shook the world! We do not need an excuse to party at Beatleweek, but we do have one (or several) this year!
SUNDAY 26 AUGUST
Sunday is traditionally Convention Day and this year is no exception. It will begin at 10am and finish at midnight. We will be lucky to get everything in with nearly 50 bands in a day on four stages, plus a flea market, an exhibition, guest interviews, video and film room and surprises galore. The Convention Day is jam packed with something for everybody although you will find it absolutely impossible to do everything in the fourteen hours. Just when you think it’s all over . . think again! At midnight the Cavern Club hosts the Second Annual Prellies all-nighter. The Prellies are a relatively young, high-energy Hamburg type Beatles band who have developed a reputation for being one of the very best and most popular Beatles bands in the world. The Cavern allnighters were legendary and The Prellies’ first all-nighter last year is the stuff that legends are made of. There was a huge demand for another one and who are we to argue? The Prellies’ theme this year is “Friends of the Earth” and, in particular, tree preservation. Sounds strange? You should have been there! It was a highlight last year and WILL be this year. Promise! An historic day and night (24 hours from ulcers!)
MONDAY 27 AUGUST
If it’s Monday it must be the final day of Mathew Street Festival, the biggest City Centre-based free music festival in Europe. Typically attracting 300,000 people to the City and featuring over 200 bands of every musical persuasion. Whatever your taste in music, there is something here for you – with the magnificent City Centre architecture as the backdrop, the streets of Liverpool are closed down to traffic and the outside stages pulsate to the sounds of rock, pop, swing, jazz, country, punk, Ska, indie and of course . . . The Beatles, which always has its own dedicated stage. Every pub, club and restaurant joins in the fun and the City Centre is just one huge party zone throughout the day into the early evening. Yes, and unbelievably it’s all F-R-E-E-!!! As the day’s entertainment comes to a close it is time to get down to the Empire Theatre for the finale concert. And what a finale it is! As the Mathew Street Festival draws to a close you had better get yourselves quickly over to the Empire Theatre (a venue played by The Beatles and both Ringo and Paul as solo artistes, not to mention George with Delaney and Bonnie). Merseybeat pays a tribute to the city that gave it its unique sound. The heroes of the Sixties bid a Happy Birthday to Liverpool in their own inimitable style. An all-star cast, including The Undertakers, Karl Terry and The Cruisers, Mike Pender’s Searchers, and Gerry and The Pacemakers. We intend to add more to this all-star cast. This truly is World Music, a sound that when you hear it could only be indigenous to this city. When the show finishes there will be barely an hour to ready ourselves for the countdown to the city’s 800th birthday – and who else could we get to start the party? The Overtures! The Overtures are Europe’s premier ’60s tribute band: why else would Elton and David choose them for their wedding? Why else would we choose them to play our VIP party? The Overtures will take us on a musical journey with a multi-media backdrop.What a day! What a night! What a weekend!
TUESDAY 28 AUGUST
Historically, Tuesday used to be wind down day – not any more. There will still be time to catch over 25 bands at The Cavern Club and Cavern Pub!! The highlight however, is usually the “Farewell Liverpool Concert” in the Cavern Club, in the back room on the BIG stage, where Paul McCartney played in 1999 and again in 2003. Today’s gigs at the Cavern Club will undoubtedly be a highlight, as we present a tribute to Wings and take you back to the ’70s. Who better to star in such a tribute than Denny Laine himself. A former integral member of The Moody Blues, it is Denny’s time with Wings for which he is most famously and fondly remembered. Denny wasn’t just a member of Wings; with Paul and Linda, he was Wings! Backed by Ringer (legends of Beatleweek), this will be a nostalgic trip back through time. Some of Paul’s greatest ever music was recorded under the guise of Wings and if we ever needed reaffirmation of this, then these afternoon concerts will be it! The ultimate celebration, however, will be at the Empire Theatre on Tuesday evening as this day – yes, this very day – is the 800th birthday of the City of Liverpool! The gig (with artistes who will not be confirmed till Easter) will celebrate Liverpool’s rich cultural and musical diversity. As Tuesday night is not featured in any package, those customers booking the gold package before January 30 are guaranteed the option of an extra night and a ticket to the performance when it is announced. Ticket prices and line up details will follow in 2007 as soon as everything is confirmed.

City Centre Tour
Starting from the stairs at Lime St Station, a walking tour through Liverpool’s city centre between 8 and 11am is planned for Monday 27th of August. Due to Bank Holiday the city centre is virtually deserted at these hours. It’s perfect for photographing and chatting without any traffic noise etc.
It doesn’t matter if you book through us, CCT or organise the trip by yourself. The special tours by Beatles Unlimited are a one off kind of thing, anyone can join. If you wish to do this tour, please be sure that you haven’t booked one of the events by CCT during our tour! Both tours will start in front of the stairs of Lime Street station on Lime Street.

Meer dan tweehonderd bands zullen hieraan deelnemen, het grootste eerbetoon aan de Beatles in de wereld. Deze happening vindt al meer dan twintig jaar plaats en heeft al veel prestitieuze bekroningen behaald. Georganiseerd door Cavern City Tours is het een gebeurtenis die niet gemist mag worden door Beatlefans en fans van muziek in het algemeen. Woensdag 22 augustus
Wat houdt Beateweek in ? Het is moeilijk te omschrijven tenzij je het werkelijk ondervonden hebt, maar in een notendop is het grootste huldebetoog van Beatlesmuziek van waar dan ook in de wereld, en zeer passend wordt het gehouden in de stad waar het allemaal begon – LIVERPOOL. Zeven dagen en nachten van gekte en wanhorde gedurende elk uur dat er niet geslapen wordt. Georganiseerd door Cavern City Tours (Regional Tour Operator of the Year bij zes gelegenheden), bevat het meer dan 200 bands uit 20 landen en wordt het bijgewoond door fans vanuit meer dan 40 landen. Waarlijk een Internationaal Festival dat live muziek, tentoonstellingen, gasten, een conventie, vlooienmarkt, video shows, rondritten, enz., enz. combineert. Als je een Beatlefan bent is dit er voor jou. Als je een algemene muziekfan bent dan is er dit ook voor jou omdat het weekend ook andere bands bevat die andere iconen coveren zoals Elvis, The Who, The Stones, Queen, enz. Er wordt ook nadruk gelegd op nieuwere, meer hedendaagse muziek door het gehele Matthew Street Festival gebied op de maandag. Het gehele weekend trapt in stijl af in de Cavern Pub op woensdag en wie kan dit beter doen dan Merseyside’s eigen Lennon’s Magic Elbow , een gratis optreden in de Cavern Pub gedurende de avond !
Donderdag 23 augustus
De muziek gaat de gehele dag en nacht door in de Cavern Pub en, natuurlijk op de twee podia in de Cavern Club aan de andere kant van de straat. Hoogtepunt van de dag zullen Sir Frankie Crisp uit Italië en Nube 9 uit Argentinië zijn, die een tribuut zullen brengen aan the Traveling Wilburys die George Harrison en Bob Dylan in de gelederen hadden om er zo maar eens twee te noemen. Dit zal de eerste keer zijn dat het Beatles Festival aandacht geeft voor a tribute to the Wilburys in een concert en al wat ik kan zeggen is dat het tijd zou worden ! De avond in de Cavern Club zal, natuurlijk, vijf andere bands bevatten die allen de muziek van de Beatles zullen spelen: een geweldige start van het weekend.
Vrijdag 24 augustus
De show van vrijdag begint met grote stijl in de Adelphi Ballroom met een hulde aan de solo muzikale carrière van allevier de Beatles. Wingspan, uit het VK, zullen een eerbetoon doen aan de midden 70-er jaren met hun eigen Rockshow en Cloud 9 uit Argentinië zullen het gehele “All Things Must Pass”-album van George uitvoeren. We zullen een All Starr Band hebben on Ringo’s carrière luister bij te zetten en het zal afgerond worden door Instant Karma USA die hun favourite Lennon album “Walls And Bridges” zal spelen. Een geweldige manier om onszelf er aan te herinneren wat voor een rijke solo catalogus zij hadden die gerust vergeleken kan worden met het meer geprezen en beroemde Fabs werk. De avond show zal in het Academy zijn en zal een officieel Cavern 50th Anniversary Concert zijn, een van de vele gedurende het jaar. Waarom vindt het dan niet plaats in de Cavern ? Nogal eenvoudig we zouden niet iedereen binnen kunnen krijgen, daarom houden wij het betreffende optreden in de naar wij geloven beste Cavern omgeving van alle grotere zalen. Natuurlijk zal je Beatles muziek en Run Devil Run verwachten, maar we hebben ook korte sets van andere Cavern Bands, waaronder The Who, The Rolling Stones & Queen tribute bands; een ware muzikale behandeling ! In de Adelphi zal om middernacht de hoofd ballroom omgevormd worden in een bioscoop voor een private vertoning van A Hard Day’s Night , en de bar op vrijdag zal doorgaan met het thema “The Beatles at the Movies” met bands die sets spelen van “Help!’, “Yellow Submarine”, “Let It Be” en “Magical Mystery Tour”. Natuurlijk, zullen de andere Adelphi bars doorspekt zijn met de geluiden van Beatlesmuziek tot in de vroege uurtjes. Een geweldig begin voor een fab weekend van feesten.
Zaterdag 25 augustus
Zaterdagochtend is het veiling tijd, die is georganiseerd door The Beatles Shop (0151 2368066) en is altijd een geweldige attractie wanneer fans proberen hun slag te slaan. Het geestelijke honk van de veiling is LIPA (de oude school van Paul en George) en de entree bevat een catalogus voor de veiling.”Het was vandaag 40 jaar geleden dat Sgt.Pepper de band leerde spelen.” De documentatie, dat Penny Lane en Strawberry Fields de eerste twee nummers waren die voor wat later bekend werd als het album Sgt.Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, was goed. Later werden zij geïdentificeerd als singles en werden zij van het album afgelaten. Daarom wordt er als tribuut aan de singles en het album, veertig jaar na dato door Cavern City Tours een Penny Lane Festival gearrangeerd. Inclusief buitenpodia en gebeurtenissen in de regio en verenigde bars en restaurants die speciale aandacht geven aan live Beatles muziek, zal de dag er zeker een zijn die herinnerd zal worden. Waar ga je beginnen ? De kapper, de brandweerkazerne, het bushokje op de rotonde, St.Barnabas Church waar Paul koorknaap was ( en getuige voor zijn broer Mike), Newcastle Road (John’s eerste thuis), Dovedale School (John’s en George’s lagere school, eveneens die van Jimmy Tarbuck !), Penny Lane Wine Bar – de lijst is eindeloos. Toegang tot Dovedale School is exclusief enkel voor mensen die op tour zijn met Cavern City Tour en bevat retour vervoer van het Adelphi Hotel van en naar de regio. De regio is gedompeld in Beatles folklore (Brian Epstein’s school en de originele tekst van In My Life), de lijst is eindeloos. Dit is hun territorium, hun oude verblijfplaats en we zullen echt in de voetsporen van de Beatles volgen. De avond show in het Empire is er een waar we echt naar uitkijken daar we al bijna 20 jaar bezig zijn om Amerika’s belangrijkste boots ‘n’ suits tribuut band “Rain” uit California naar de Beatleweek te halen en we zijn eindelijk geslaagd. Hun multi media podium show is er een om te zien en zal versterken waarom de band sinds lange tijd herkend zijn als een van de beste, allerbeste. Laten we hopen dat ertoe leidt dat dit een jaarlijks gebeuren wordt omdat ik weet dat als je ze een keer gezien hebt, dat er een flinke aandrang komt om hen terug te krijgen. Adempauze ? Nee, er is geen tijd; terug naar de Adelphi voor een party tot in de kleine uurtjes. Het thema voor de bands voor deze party (in vier aparte bars) is 800 jaar van liverpool’s muzikale erfenis. Behalve een paar zeemansliederen, verzekert het voor de rest dat het zich zal concentreren op de laatste vierenveertig jaar en, in het bijzonder, op vier jongens die de wereld wakker schudden ! Wij hebben geen excuus nodig om een Beatleweek te vieren, maar we hebben er een (of verschillende) dit jaar.
Zondag 26 augustus
Zondag is traditioneel gezien Convention Day en dit jaar is het geen uitzondering. Begin om 10.00uur en eind middernacht. We moeten geluk hebben om alles rond te krijgen met bijna 50 groepen in één dag op vier podia., plus een vlooienmarkt, een tentoonstelling, gast interviews, video en film ruimte en een overvloed van verrassingen. De conventie dag is volgepropt met van alles voor iedereen, alhoewel het praktisch onmogelijk zal worden om alles in veertien uur te proppen. Wanneer je denkt dat het over is….bedenk je opnieuw ! Om middernacht zal de Cavern Club gastheer zijn van de Second Annual Prellies Allnighter. The Prellies is een relatief jonge, hoog energieke Hamburg type Beatles band, die een reputatie ontwikkeld hebben als een van de beste en meest populaire Beatles bands ter wereld. De Cavern nachtbrakers waren legendarisch en de eerste allnighter van de Prellies, van vorig jaar, is het materiaal waaruit legendes uit voort komen. Er was een enorme vraag voor een encore en wie zijn wij om dat te negeren ? Het thema van de Prellies van dit jaar is “Friends of the Earth”, met in het bijzonder, boombehoud. Klinkt vreemd ? Je had er moetenzijn ! Het was vorig jaar een hoogtepunt en ZAL het dit jaar weer worden. Beloofd ! Een historische dag en nacht.
Maandag 27 augustus
As het maandag is moet het wel de laatste dag zijn van Mathew Street Festival, het grootste City Centre- gebaseerde gratis muziekfestijn in Europa. kenmerkend trekt het zo’n 300.000 mensen naar de stad en omvat het meer dan 200 bands met van alle muzikale richtingen. Wat je smaak in muziek ook mag zijn, er is van alles voor je – met de schitterende City Centre architectuur als achtergrond, zijn de straten van Liverpool afgesloten voor het verkeer en de buitenpodis pulseren op de klanken van rock, pop, swing, jazz, country, ska, indie en natuurlijk…. op de Beatles, dat altijd zijn eigen speciale podium heeft. Iedere pub, club en restaurant deelt mee in de lol en het stadscentrum is echt een waar partygebied gedurende de gehele dag tot in de vroege ochtend. Ja, en ongelooflijk het is allemaal G-R-A-T-I-S !!! Als het vermaak van de dag ten einde komt wordt het tijd om naar het Empire Theatre te gaan voor het eind concert. En wat voor een finale ! Wanneer het Mathew Street Festival ten einde loopt ga dan als de bliksem naar het Empire Theatre ( een plaats waar de Beatles speelden en zowel Ringo en Paul als solo artiesten, om niet te spreken van George met Delaney and Bonnie). Merseybeat speelt een tribuut aan de stad, die het zijn unieke geluid gaf. De helden van de 60-er jaren bieden een unieke Happy Birthday op hun eigen onnavolgbare manier. Een all-star opstelling, waaronder the Undertakers, Karl Terry and the Cruisers, Mike Pender’s Searchers and Gerry and the Pacemakers. We hebben het voornemen meer aan deze all-star bezetting toe te voegen. Dit is echt World Music, een geluid zodra je het hoort het alleen maar thuis kan behoren in deze stad. Wanneer de show eindigt is er nauwelijks nog een uur over om je klaar te maken voor de aftelling voor de 800ste verjaardag van de stad- en wie anders konden we de aftrap van het feest laten nemen ?
The Ouvertures ! The Ouvertures zijn Europa’s beste sixties tribuut band: waarom zouden Elton en David hen uitkiezen op hun trouwdag ? Waarom anders zouden wij hen kiezen om op onze VIP party te spelen ? The Ouvertures zullen ons meenemen op een muzikale trip met een multi-media achtergrond. Wat een dag ! Wat een nacht ! Wat een weekend !
Dinsdag 28 augustus
Historisch gezien, is dinsdag de dag dat alles luwt – maar niet meer. Er is nog altijd tijd om meer dan 25 bands in de Cavern Club en de Cavern Pub te zien !! Het hoogtepunt echter, is zoals gebruikelijk het “Farewell Liverpool Concert” in de Cavern Club, in de backroom op het Big podium, waar Paul McCartney in 1999 en weer in 2003 speelde. De optredens van vandaag in de Cavern Club zullen ongetwijfeld een hoogtepunt zijn, wanneer we een tribuut aan Wings presenteren en je zullen terugnemen naar de 70-er jaren. Wie kan er beter met zo’n tribuut starten dan Denny Lane zelf. Een eerder integrerend lid van de Moody Blues. Het is Denny’s tijd met Wings, waarvan hij de meeste en innige bekendheid heeft. Denny was niet zo maar een lid van Wings, met Paul en Linda, hij was Wings ! Gesteund door Ringer (legendes van Beatleweek), zal dit een nostalgische reis door de tijd worden. Sommige van Paul’s meest geweldige muziek werd opgenomen onder de gedaante van Wings en als we ooit opnieuw bevestiging van dit willen hebben, dan zullen deze middagconcerten dat zijn ! De ultiema viering, echter, zal zijn in het Empire Theatre op dinsdagavond omdat deze dag – jazeker déze dag- de 800ste verjaardag van de City of Liverpool is ! Dit optreden (met artiesten die niet eerder bevestigd kunnen worden voor Pasen) zullen Liverpool’s rijke culturele en muzikale diversiteit vieren. Omdat de dinsdagnacht niet is opgenomen in geen van de pakketten, zullen de klanten die het goud pakket geboekt hebben vóór 30 januari gegarandeerd zijn voor de optie van een extra nacht en een kaart voor de voorstelling op moment van aankondiging. Liverpool John Lennon Airport
Degenen die per vliegtuig reizen vanaf Nederland worden geadviseerd om www.easyjet.com te raadplegen omdat het de enige lijnverbinding is waar drie maal per dag direct van Amsterdam naar Liverpool gevlogen wordt. Vanaf John Lennon Liverpool Airport, rijden elk half uur regelmatig bussen naar het hart van de stad. Prijzen van afgelopen jaar: £ 2,50 of neem een taxi voor £ 13,-

Het Adelphi is het zenuwcentrum van de Beatleweek. Het is Liverpool’s voornaamste en meest beroemde hotel. Aanvankelijk geopend door James Radley geopend in 1826, kan het hotel zich beroemen op 3 uitstekende restaurants, 3 bars, een nachtclub, vaste conferentie faciliteiten, en een gezongheids- en fitnessclub, sauna en Steam Room. De gezondheidsclub heeft ook een jacuzzi, squash banen, een vol ingerichte gymruimte, een solarium en een groot verwarmd overdekt zwembad. Dit is de perfecte centrum voor ons weekend. Alle kamers in het Adelphi hebben badkamer faciliteiten en inbegrepen bij het pakket is het Adelphi Full English Breakfast menu dat geserveerd wordt in Jenny’s Restaurant. Het hotel is centraal gelegen, slechts 2 minuten lopen vanaf het hoofd treinstation en City Centre Shops.

De uitgebreide 15 uur durende grote tour van Liverpool.
Los van het overweldigende aangeboden programma biedt Beatles Unlimited iets echt speciaals aan JOU. Je hebt bemerkt dat CCT, de organisatoren, enkel bustochten door de stad inbegrepen hebben, die twee of drie uur duren. Daar Liverpool zo groot is, om zelfs maar 10% te bezoeken zou dat moeilijk zijn dat binnen die tijd te doen. Wij zullen proberen dat beter te doen ! Van donderdag 13.00-19.00uur en vrijdag 8.00-13.00 uur zullen wij op weg zijn, om je te leiden naar alles hetgeen je wilt zien en waar je heen wilt gaan ! Dit is een trip die je nooit zult vergeten. Vorig jaar bezochten we scholen, ontmoetingsplaatsen, hun huizen, clubs, pubs, zwembaden, begraafplaatsen en een paar verrassingen ! Dit alles binnen een straal van 35 x 35 mijl van Liverpool’s stadscentrum. We bezochten plekken in Liverpool, Southport, Appleton (huis van ouders GH), Preston en de Wirral, gelinkt aan John, Paul, George, Ringo, Pete, Stu, Len, Rod, Colin, Tommy, Pete Eric, John Duff Lowe, Allan, Bob, Brian en hun families ! City Centre Tour
Start vanaf de trappen bij Lime Street Station staat er een wandel tour door het Liverpool’s stadscentrum geplanned tussen 8.00 en 11.00 uur op maandag 27 augustus. Dankzij Bank Holiday is het stadscentrum zo goed als verlaten tijdens deze uren. Het is perfect voor het fotograferen en praten zonder enig verkeersgeluid etc.
Het maakt niet uit indien je boekt via ons, CCT of zelf de reis organiseert. De speciale tours door Beatles Unlimited zijn enig in hun soort, iedereen kan deelnemen. Als je wenst deze tour te maken, ben er dan a.u.b. zeker van dat je geen andere evenementen bij CCT gedurende onze tour ! Beide tours zullen beginnen voor de trappen van het Lime Street Station in Lime Street.

Zoals elk jaar, zijn er enkele activiteiten in de stad die niet georganiseerd worden door CCT, maar die het toch waard zijn om bij te wonen. Enige die bij ons bekend zijn tot zo ver zijn:
O Een bezoek aan de gallerei boven de Beatles Shop in Mathew Street is belangrijk, indien je originele kunst van Lennon wilt zien.
O Op vrijdag 24 en zaterdag 25 augustus zullen dealers die aanwezig zullen zijn op de Beatlesconventie van zondag 26 augustus in het Adelphi, al te bezoeken zijn op de platenbeurs die zij zelf organiseren in het Mariott Hotel, St.Johns, Queens Square, 10.00-17.00 uur.
O Check de tentoonstellingsruimten van Walker Art Gallery, Tate Gallery en Liverpool Museum of Life eens. Meestal hebben zij iets wat gelinkt is
aan de Beatles.
O De jaarlijkse tentoonstelling van de door Beatles geinspireerd werk en gemaakt door Liverpool’s art school zal op Seel Street zijn.
