Tree planted in memory of George is vandalised

A TREE planted in memory of Beatles guitarist George Harrison has been vandalised.
The English oak, in the peace garden of St George’s Hall, has had its bark stripped away. Without bark, it could dry out and die.

Sculpture captures peace of history (John and Yoko)

As One, created by Australian Paul Phillips and Vietnamese artist To Hong, is on display at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association. 

A sculpture work called “As One” created by Australian Paul Phillips and Vietnamese artist To Hong is currently on display at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association.

“As One” is a group of statues featuring British songwriter and musician John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono who are sitting on a bed surrounded by nine international legendary celebrities, including Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Albert Einstein. They are all depicted as children.

ROCK ‘N ROLL LEGEND CARL PERKINS’ MUCH ANTICIPATED STORY TO BE TOLD

Fastlane Entertainment will produce a motion picture based on the life story of Rock ‘n Roll’s very own Carl Perkins. The legendary singer and songwriter of Blue Suede Shoes is considered one of the founding fathers of Rock ‘n Roll.

Macca wants London Eye

Paul McCartney is hoping to rename the London Eye in his honour to promote a new DVD, it has been claimed. Paul releases “The McCartney Years” later this year, and he wants to use one of the UK’s most famous landmarks to support the media campaign. The plan may also include a one-off concert on the iconic wheel structure.
