Sí: los tres “monstruos sagrados” armaron un supergrupo en la noche de Año Nuevo y tocaron en un show benéfico para un puñado de afortunados espectadores.

Beatles for sale – to flog nappies!

The Beatles could soon be for sale after reports advertisers may be given permission to use the Fab Four’s music in their campaigns. But music giant Sony says people will need more than cash to secure the right to use some of the world’s most famous tunes, and the final product must enhance the original music’s reputation.

Paul and Denny Laine bury the hatchet

It seems that former Wings bandmates Paul McCartney and Denny Laine have buried the hatchet and rekindled their 30-year-old friendship, according to Denny’s My Space page. The pair fell out when Wings’ tour of Japan in January 1980 got cancelled, after McCartney was arrested at the airportdocument.write(flat(’noissessop anaujiram rof ‘)); for marijuana possession.

Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton and Pete Townsend play secret gig

According to The Independent, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton and Pete Townsend teamed up to play a New Year’s Eve gig together at an unnamed location in Surrey, with proceeds going to charity. A source said the band were called Totally Abandoned for the night, and the three legends performed “mainly old classics”.

There has always been a flurry of Beatle books coming out each and every year.  Some of the the are shoddy at best.  Sometimes, though, you get a stunner or two in the bunch.  this year is no different.  All you John and Yoko fans better hold onto your hats, it looks like a beauty of a book has been released.  I was hoping to hold off news on this book, as I was holding out to see if Santa was going to leave it under my tree, but I will use some of my Xmas cash to buy it.
