In keeping with the deep divide exposed by their bitter divorce, Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills are taking very different paths as they seek to get their lives back on track.
Miss Mills is targeting a return to the media spotlight - as a celebrity judge on the Miss USA Beauty Pageant - while her former husband enjoys a quiet holiday with New York socialite Nancy Shevell.

Sir Paul, 65, was spotted relaxing on a dinghy with the heiress, with whom he is enjoying a relaxing break in the Caribbean. The pair have been linked since November, when they were photographed apparently kissing in the Hamptons.

On their latest trip, to the Antiguan resort of Jumby Bay, the former Beatle appeared to have left behind the troubles of his divorce, enjoying a yoga session before diving into the ocean, then rowing Miss Shevell back to shore.

Despite speculation about a growing romance between the pair, sources close to them have insisted they are merely old friends who enjoy each other’s company.

Miss Shevell is estranged from her husband of 23 years, Bruce Blakeman, also the father of her teenage son. The couple were friends with Sir Paul when he was married to his late wife Linda. Miss Shevell, 47, who recently dropped her married name, is vice-president of administration at New England Motor Freight, Inc, a company built up by her father.
