THOUSANDS of extra tickets are to go on sale for Sir Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Sound concert on June 1 to cover mounting costs, the Daily Post can reveal.
Liverpool Culture Company is to offer 11,000 tickets on top of the 25,000 already sold for the concert at Anfield to cover a budget increase from around £1.8m to nearly £2m. (more…)

April 11, is National Eight Track Tape Day, a holiday dedicated to bring back the fond memories of the sixties and seventies.
The 8-track tape, originally called the Stereo 8, was created in 1964 by a consortium led by Bill Lear of Lear Jet Corporation, along with Ampex, Ford, Motorola and RCA Victor Records, and was made popular by the inclusion of 8-track players in Ford automobiles in 1965. 8-tracks were being phased out in the US by 1982, but were still available through record clubs as late as 1988. Heather Mills werd verwelkomd door een joelende menigte toen ze werd voorgesteld als jurylid in de Miss USA wedstrijd. De ex van Paul McCartney maakte in de VS haar eerste openbare verschijning nadat haar scheiding van Paul McCartney begin maart werd uitgesproken.
