A BEATLES tribute band hailed as the best in the world by John Lennon’s sister is coming to Ellesmere Port as part of Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture celebrations.

The Mersey Beatles will perform a two-hour multi-costume show at the town’s Civic Hall on April 25 – almost 45 years after the real band graced the same stage in front of 700 people.

Concert promoter Live@pool Ltd is inviting anyone who attended the original gig to share their memories at the event and hope to have items of concert memorabilia on display in the hall foyer.
