The Beatles are arguably the most important and influential - and probably simply the best - band of all times. Their music changed the lives of a whole generation and it still has a major impact on contemporary acts which would definitely sound different without listening to Beatles records - as children, teenagers or now.
The vital point is that only a rather small number of music lovers have seen them performing live. With their last live performance on the rooftop of Apple Studios in London in 1969 and very little appearances in their final years being together as a band, the Magical Mystery Tour which is about to hit town can be regarded as more than just a poor compensation but a great alternative.
“Rain - the Beatles Experience” managed to entertain critics, enthusiast fans and fascinate people who saw the original Fab Four performing live back in the early 1960s. The elaborate stage show which includes many songs of the later period of the Liverpudlians guarantees a splendid experience nobody who loves music will ever forget.
The live performances are superb while authentic video clips from the Beatles’ heydays add nicely to the show Joey Curatolo (Paul McCartney), Joe Bithorn (George Harrison), Ralph Castelli (Ringo Starr), Steve Landes (John Lennon) and Mark Lewis (Keyboards/Percussion) are doing for more 20 years.
“Rain - the Beatles Experience” will come to Vienna on six consecutive nights from 16 September 2008. Tickets are on sale now.
