Fish and chips voted no 1 in the Best of British poll

Fish and chips have gained the top spot in a list of the 50 things we love most about Britain.
The popular fried take away is loved more dearly than the Queen, who is second on the list.
The Royal Family collectively appears in the chart at no 10 and Prince Harry is nominated at no 44.

[1] De rock & roll heeft veel musicerende familieleden opgeleverd. Broers, zonen, dochters, echtgenoten… Vaak leveren hun pogingen platen op die alleen interessant zijn voor de hard core fan: van Adam Cohen (zoon van Leonard), Chris Stills (zoon van Stephen) en Peggi Young (vrouw van Neil) tot André Hazes jr. toe. Sommigen halen zelfs minstens het niveau van pa: Rufus Wainwright, Jeff Buckley. Maar wat te denken van de broer van Paul McCartney: Peter Michael McCartney alias Mike McGear.
