Beatles music more than ‘auditory cheesecake’, scientists find

Listening to a Beatles song was a literally unforgettable moment for millions of people throughout the world, new research has found.

Beatles Remasters

MOJO was invited to Abbey Road for a playback of 10 newly restored White Album tracks and spoke to stereo remastering engineer Guy Massey and EMI’s
special project coordinator Allan Rouse about digitally remastering the entire Beatles catalogue. The (now 3 year) remastering project has gone back to every UK studio album release plus Past Masters, the Yellow
Submarine Soundtrack and the US Magical Mystery Tour (but not, alas, Live at the Hollywood Bowl), and applied state-of-the-art digital technology to
the most scrupulus principles of musical restoration. MOJO is very enthusiastic: “They sound even better than wë’d hoped”. MOJO thinks we can hear it for ourselves in 2009. We have to wait………

Yoko Ono artwork headed to Pasadena this summer (till Nov. 9th)

Yoko Ono’s post-Beatles-era career continues to flourish, and a piece of her art is headed to Pasadena this summer. Visitors will be invited to write their wishes on paper and hang them on the tree branches. The wishes from Pasadena will later be placed with others from all over the world and buried at the Imagine Peace Tower in Iceland.
