Paul McCartney and John Lennon had premonition about The Beatles

Sir Paul McCartney has revealed that he and former songwriting partner, John Lennon, both had the same dream about achieving worldwide fame and success with The Beatles.

The former Beatles bassist told The Big Issue that both he and Lennon had the same premonition about digging up gold coins in a garden, and suggested that this dream of finding treasure was a metaphor for the success The Beatles would go on to have: ”Life gives you minor premonitions. You don’t think of them as premonitions until the dream comes true and you think, ‘Hey, I wonder if that was a sign?’”

Macca then went on to say: “So both of us had this dream of finding treasure. And I suppose you could say it came true.”

Sir Paul McCartney’s latest album Kisses On The Bottom was released last week, and features a mixture of tunes that Macca listened to when he was younger, as well as two new songs, ‘My Valentine’ and ‘Only Our Hearts’.
