Beatle Hamilton hideaway sold

THE Australian home of late Beatle George Harrison has sold for $8 million, setting a new record for Hamilton Island property, according to reports.
The sprawling South Pacific-style compound had fallen into disrepair in the years since Harrison’s 2001 death, with its abundant tropical foliage obscuring much of the property.
