The sound of shrieking engines was replaced by roaring guitars at the Albert Park grand prix last night, when veteran rockers The Who took over the entertainment.
The band – formed in ex-pat territory Shepherd’s Bush, London – delighted old fans with some rarer numbers and played a strong set of classic hits too.
Roger Daltrey, not his fellow founding member Pete Townshend, performed the band’s trademark windmill guitar move first during their second song, The Seeker.
